Thinking Through Assumption

Logic, based on deductive or inductive reasoning, would not be viable without assumption, made plausible within boundaries that suggest somewhere along the way, as thought precedes, that said assumption will be validated.

What is thought possible, depending on the presumption, needs only be materialized by invention or perhaps actualized by previously unaccepted events, allowing for unanticipated conclusions.

However, lurking somewhere is the gnawing question, what if the inconceivable became fact?

How does society incorporate unperceived knowledge into its sensibilities?
